COMPANY INFO

Build Game Box is a US based game design subscription product that explores desktop and digital games for youth. Created by industry professionals, Build Game Box aims to generate excitement, exploration and interest in game design. While exploring game design with youth in the classroom over the past two decades, founders Emily and Erik saw opportunity to introduce game making through a combination of desktop and digital games. Together, Erik and Emily have helped students create hundreds of desktop and digital game ideas.

Build Game Box launches with digital partner GDevelop to bridge into the technical side of game making. GDevelop is the most powerful, open-source, no-code game engine available to build 2D, 3D and multiplayer games. Pairing a wide range of ready-made game features with an extensive sandbox game design environment, GDevelop offers the best of both worlds for novice and commercial game designers. The free, browser-based game development platform enables new and seasoned designers to build and publish their own digital games. With GDevelop, designers can build digital games on a laptop or phone and can publish everywhere: iOS, Android, Steam, web, and gaming platforms.

We are exicted to bring game making to youth and enable game makers of all abilites to jump into building games.
