01 Building a Digital Scorecard
Let's create a custom scorecard for our boardgame in GDevelop!
WHAT WE ARE BUILDING:
We are going to build a digital scorecard customized to our Tile Trade board game. This can be used in place of creating a paper scorecard and will even allow us to save our past scores!
Load Gdevelop & Create New Empty Project
- Open GDevelop and click on "Create a Game" from the File menu
- Select "Empty Project" to start a new project from scratch
Add Main UI
- Add Headers and Game Name
Add Player Score Trackers
- Add in UI to add/remove from player score
Add Advanced Tracking
- Add the UI to track game "rounds"
- Calculate "round" scores
- Add "round" score to total score
- Add Game Over States
Preview the Scene
- Preview and Test the Scene
Fine Tuning
- Let's fine tune what we built
